Blair has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality, events and non-profit industries and has worked in higher education for the last 7 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Administration and a Master’s Degree in Adult and Higher Education, Student Administration. He enjoys paying attention to detail resulting in high-quality customer service and, especially, working with student groups to create meaningful educational experiences. In his free time he enjoys skiing in the winter and biking and hiking in the summer as well as spontaneous travel.

Morgan has a passion for data and is fascinated by how data, combined with insight, leads to solving complex problems. In addition to being a bona fide data nerd, she enjoys cultivating and building relationships to teach others how data can guide them in their decision making. Soon to receive her Master of Science in Data Science, Morgan continues to actively pursue new opportunities to invest in her passion and further develop her analytical expertise.

A Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Lean practitioner, Sarah enjoys facilitating collaborative conversations and supporting people as they navigate through change. Sarah is an idea generator and thrives on building relationships and creating environments that foster sustained transformation. In her free time Sarah can be found engaging in a wide variety of activities including antiquing, river floating, or busting a move in her hip-hop dance class.

Bio:

A dedicated Roadrunner for over 40 years, Ellen attended college as a first-generation low-income student who earned her bachelor’s degree from MSU Denver in 1977. After graduating, she transitioned from her part-time job in the Budget Office to work full-time in Institutional Research. Her work at the university now spans 38 years, where she has served in various roles, from grassroots to Director. Ellen works as a data detective who closely examines and develops how data is presented, ensuring that IR provides accurate information in response to the needs of the university. A seasoned soccer player on the side, Ellen loves taking her granddaughter to many of the sporting events to cheer on MSU Denver. Ellen treasures their time together, which also doubles as an opportunity to introduce higher education to the next generation and pass on that same Roadrunner spirit.

Coming from a background as a first-generation low-income student, Laura has made it her vocational mission to advocate student success and equal access. She received a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and served in multiple student support positions across the country. Recognizing data as a powerful tool to promote equity and inclusiveness, she continued to develop her expertise in research methodology, earning a doctorate in Educational Psychology-Quantitative Methods.  Laura has worked in an array of institutional research and assessment roles and is fascinated with enhancing organizational learning through strategic uses of data collection, analysis and dissemination.

Originally from New Jersey, Mike moved with his wife to Colorado where he works as a Reporting Specialist within the Business Intelligence team. He brings more than ten years of experience in database administration, analysis, and institutional research, having served multiple offices within a large multi-campus university. In his free time he and his wife enjoy exploring the outdoors, hiking and traveling.

Sean has a rich background in socio-economic data analytics. He enjoys working with complex data-based problems and producing informative visualizations. Sean holds a PhD in philosophy and spends part of his time outside the office living the examined life of a philosopher. His academic work includes university-level teaching, research, and publishing.

Bio:

Luan is pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) at MSU Denver, with a concentration in Business Analytics. He serves both the CAVEA and Business Intelligence teams, which allows him to develop his skills in areas including statistics and communication. Luan brings an array of multicultural customer service experience, having lived in Asia, Europe, and now America. His interests extend to video game graphics, drawing, and singing, all while training in his martial arts mastery.

Born and raised in Colorado, Ned’s childhood of secret decoder rings in cereal boxes led to a fascination with world languages and various forms of communication. Later, living many years in Europe, he developed multi-lingual proficiency and an appreciation for new approaches to systems and solutions. Ned enjoys combining organization and design to create simplified and sustainable structures, crafted between sips of the occasional espresso.

Working as CAVEA’s AV/IT Contractor, Jackie brings experience in the Audio/Visual field and loves developing innovative spaces through technology. Her dedication as a classical flutist for 18 years has developed her appreciation for the joys of music and has expanded her understanding of the work required behind the scenes for events to run smoothly. When not at work, Jackie enjoys playing and recording music and exploring the many hiking trails Colorado has to offer.
