Storm Gloor is an Assistant Professor in the College of Arts and Media at the University of Colorado Denver. In 2010 he was the recipient of the College’s Excellence in Teaching award. This is his sixth year of teaching at UCD. He holds an MBA degree from West Texas A&M University. Prior to academia, professor Gloor spent many years working within the music industry.
Kae Novak is an instructional designer/student success coordinator with Front Range Community College. Kate Hagerty is the CIS program chair for CCCOnline and a MGD instructor for Front Range Community College. For the past four years they along with a cohort of edupunks have been spending an inordinate amount of their cognitive surplus investigating new technologies, virtual worlds and games - based learning.
Karen began her online education career as a history instructor with Colorado Community Colleges Online in January of 2003. In 2005, she began serving as a Program Chair for CCCOnline and developed a History Course that won the 2008 Blackboard Exemplary Course Award. Karen became the CCCOnline Director of Training and Professional Development in 2008, and she is currently the CCCOnline Social Science Associate Dean. In all her roles at CCCOnline, Karen has played an integral part in course development projects with a focus on student success.
Patricia Rand is a Paramedic and Full Time faculty member in the Paramedic Program at Aims Community College. She earned her Masters Degree in Information Learning Technology at the University of Colorado. She is particularly interested in the use of multimedia in e-Learning courses.
A Professor of History at Pikes Peak Community College, Glenn Rohlfing has taught in Higher Education for seven years. Like many who come out of graduate school and start teaching at a Community College, he resorted to traditional forms of lecture, which was met with the enthusiastic snoring of some of his students. His primary goal has been to find mediums and modes of learning that engage all learners and to share his experiences with like-minded faculty looking to make Higher Education dynamic.
Nicole Hubbell is a Program Manager in the Office of International Education (OIE) at the University of Denver. She has trained with the Center for Digital Storytelling and recently established a Digital Storytelling Workspace for study abroad returnees to reflect on their cross-cultural experiences. Her thesis was on the topic of digital storytelling as a narrative-based process of identity construction and how it impacts study abroad students at both the graduate and undergraduate level.
David Kendrick is the director for the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning at the University of Northern Colorado. He has served as faculty, administrator, and consultant in higher education, K-12, and industry technology learning environments. His current interests are in cost benefits in traditional to e-learning transformations and issues of quality assurance in online course delivery.
