Typing just a few keys, you can instantly expand shortcuts into full sentences, email addresses, or even detailed feedback for students. I’ve put together a quick guide to the best options—free and paid—for Mac and Windows. Check it out and save yourself some time!
Mountain Environments redesign
Dr. Sarah Schliemann partnered with MSU Denver’s CTLD ID team to reimagine her Mountain Environments course. By integrating Open Educational Resources, Universal Design for Learning, and media production, this redesign enhances accessibility and engagement while providing students with a more immersive and inclusive educational experience.
Connecting in the Online Classroom
How do we connect with our online students? Faculty and staff discussed strategies for supporting online students during a recent CTLD Book Discussion. Connecting in the Online Classroom by Rebecca Glazier presents a strong case that building rapport with students is the most effective means of improving online retention.

Wondering how to build accessible courses and materials? We invite faculty interested in creating a more inclusive learning experience by removing barriers to connect with the Instructional Accessibility Group to proactively create accessible courses.
