Top voice in economics on campus June 20

Former FDIC, Fed exec Thomas Hoenig to discuss events that will affect the economy in the near future.

Economist Thomas Hoenig will be on campus June 20 for an open forum titled “The Economic System and Stability: Changing the Goal.” Hoenig is the former vice chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and former president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He will discuss what he believes are the most important events that will affect the economy over the next two years.

The forum will take place at 3:30 p.m. in the King Center Concert Hall. Seating is limited, but there is a specific ticket allotment for students; RSVP for tickets at https://hoenig.eventbrite.com/.
