Student Employees & Temporary Employees Timesheet Information

Descriptions:

  • Student Employees: Employees of the University whose employment relationship is directly attributed to their current enrollment as a student of MSU Denver or one of the other approved institutions. Student employees may either be Work Study or Student Hourly employees. These positions are not benefit eligible and there is no expectation of continued employment from one semester to the next.
  • Full-Time Hourly Employees: Employees can work 40 hours a week for 9 months and then need to take off for a period of 90 days prior to working for another department. This is a non-benefited position. Please contact HR with specific questions.
  • Part-Time Hourly Employees: Employees can work up to 19 hours a week for a period of 12 months. This is a non-benefited position. Please contact HR with specific questions.

ALL STUDENT AND TEMPORARY (HOURLY) EMPLOYEES – 

  • Sign into Workday and go to the TIME app in the Menu. Students and temporary hourly employees will also have the option to enter time directly into your timesheet. 
  • Check-In for the start of each shift and Check-Out for Meals or end of shift.
    • Missed hours will need to be entered by your manager or yourself prior to the timesheet deadline. 
  • Submit Absence Request for any Sick Leave Taken

SM BlankTimesheet – Only used for manual payment requests when the timesheet was not submitted on time.
