Key Areas on the OSWSS-AF Team: Working collaboratively, I lead the OSWSS-AF team towards its vision and mission.

For more than 17 years, Amy Middleton has been dedicated to increasing college access through designing systems and programs that support a diverse body of students. With extensive experience at Metropolitan State University of Denver, a public higher education institution that is committed to supporting low income, first generation, and students of color, Middleton has experience creating innovative programming across the entire student life cycle – from admissions to alumni engagement – at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

With a keen interest in enrollment management, especially frameworks emerging from the Strategic Graduate Enrollment Management (SGEM) field, Middleton has advocated for graduate education and led the development and sustainability of a thriving and fiscally self-sustaining graduate program through implementation of an integrated interdependence model. Middleton has developed and sustained internal data analytics to project future enrollment and revenue with precision and established recruitment, application, and enrollment goals that align with strategic business planning.   She manages deaprtmenal funds and is dedicated to bridging student and faculty needs with enrollment and budget management practices that enhance program vitality and the educational experience for students.

Middleton collaboratively designed and launched the Office of Social Work Student Services, Administration, and Finance in 2014 and has gained considerable experience developing and leading new teams and managing change as Director of this office. She has led vision and mission development work and has extensive experience writing new job descriptions and setting employee goals and objectives. As a recognized leader in higher education, Middleton is an alumna of the Academic Management Institute (AMI) and attended the Advanced Leadership in Higher Education workshop.
