SGA Senate

The SGA Senate consists of up to 8 elected student representatives. This body acts as the voice of the students by addressing and remedying concerns and taking the initiative with student ideas. Much like the senate in Washington D.C., this body acts through drafting, debating and passing legislation.

Though much of the work done on the resolutions and bills happens during the week or in committee meetings, the Senate votes on and debates all pieces of legislation at official senate sessions. Each meeting contains a public comment section in the beginning, during which guests are free to voice their opinions, concerns, or ideas.
