Job Posting: Scholar Success Student Peer Advocate
The Office of the Scholar Success Program is hiring for the Student Peer Advocate position. An ideal candidate will have a passion for providing extraordinary customer service to students and staff. Interest and experience working with students, event planning and spreadsheets is useful. Candidates should be creative, responsible, self-motivated, detail oriented, and organized. Students willing to enhance leadership skills please apply. Individuals must be open and able to work in a high energy and high traffic office.
With direction from professional staff in the Scholar Success Program Office of Student Academic Success Center, the Peer Advocate position will facilitate the scholars involvement process through in-person meeting, phone calls and emails, as well as assist in planning, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive range of support services to monitor scholars process to achieve academic goals at MSU Denver. The Scholar Success Program Office participates in a wide variety of tasks and events. The peer advocate plays a significant role in providing strong customer service to fellow students, faculty and staff by performing a wide range of clerical and general office support services. This position will actively encourage and build scholars connection to social, academic and leadership resources on and off campus, including but not limited to assisting with scholar recruitment and planning of events so as to provide more opportunities for meaningful student involvement in campus life.
