DENVER – Jane Miller, founder and CEO of Jane Knows, author of “Sleep Your Way to the TOP: *and other myths about business success,” is Metropolitan State University of Denver’s 6th Annual Executive on Campus guest lecturer.

Miller will give a presentation, answer questions and visit with MSU Denver management students on Monday, March 9 at St. Cajetan’s Event Center from 12:30-1:30 p.m.  This free program will address the challenges, concerns and myths of achieving success in the business world.

“We're excited to host Jane Miller this year whose advice has proven invaluable to many in the job market especially for women who often face numerous inequalities and stereotypes,” said Debbie Gilliard, chair and professor of MSU Denver’s Department of Management.

Miller has spent three decades in the corporate world. For 20 of those years, she became the highest ranking female executive in every company she worked for including Pepsi Co., Frito-Lay, Best Foods, Hostess Brands and Heinz.

Miller will also discuss her book “Sleep Your Way to the TOP: *and other myths about business success,” a sassy how-to guide for millennial women seeking empowerment and professional success. Her book draws from her personal experiences in navigating the corporate world and addresses common concerns as a woman who has successfully climbed the corporate ladder to high-ranking positions.

"The Executive on Campus event offers applied knowledge and competitive insight for students to learn from someone who has achieved success in the workplace both as an employee and an employer," added Gilliard.

The Department of Management in the College of Business sponsors the annual Executive on Campus event as a professional development opportunity for students, alumni and the local community. Honored executives support the program mission to prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully manage and lead organizations.

Past executives honored include: Race Director of the BolderBoulder 10K, Cliff Bosley; CEO and Founder of Perky Jerky, Brian Levin; CEO/Founder of Camp Bow Wow, Heidi Ganahl; President and Co-Founder, Ska Brewing Co, David Thibodeau (’93); and President and CEO of American Furniture Warehouse, Jake Jabs.
