President Janine Davidson, Ph.D.

Davidson is the ninth president of MSU Denver. She is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served as the undersecretary of the Navy prior to joining the University in July 2017. Her top priority is ensuring that students receive the support they need to graduate, get good jobs and move up the economic ladder.

What is Inclusive Leadership?

Inclusive leadership is the practice of leadership that carefully includes the contributions of all members of the community or organization. Inclusion means being at the table at all levels of the organization, being a valued contributor and being fully responsible for your contribution to the ultimate result. Inclusive leadership unites human capital by developing “one team of leaders,” who cultivate and harvest new ideas and innovative strategies to resolve issues and advance an organization’s mission. Inclusive leadership is the “secret sauce” for colleges and universities to realize shared governance.
