Admissions Mission Statement
As an advocate for MSU Denver’s vision of becoming one of the nation’s preeminent public urban universities, The Office of Admissions engages with the community to identify, recruit, and admit a diverse and qualified student population. Our office embraces the University’s core values of C.A.D.R.E and provides seamless, customer-friendly services to support every student’s educational journey.
Center for Urban Education Mission Statement
The Center for Urban Education serves as a resource to urban school districts and schools to strengthen and improve student academic achievement and educational motivation with an aim to support successful pathways to college.
Financial Aid Mission Statement
The mission of the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship is to provide prospective and enrolled students with superior customer service, information and resources to financially support their educational goals in a timely, equitable and caring manner, in full support of the University and Enrollment Services mission and compliance with governing agencies.
Registrar Mission Statement
The Enrollment Management Division team collaborates to provide exceptional services to our diverse community, access to a high quality and relevant education in support of the role and mission of the University. As part of this team, the Registrar’s Office is dedicated to student success and executing its assigned responsibilities in an efficient, professional, and ethical manner.
Roadways Mission Statement
Roadways promotes student persistence, retention and graduation by working with campus partners to provide comprehensive, individualized support services designed to guide students along the path from admissions to alumni.
Testing Services Mission Statement
The mission and goal of the Office of Testing Services is to offer placement testing services to the Metropolitan State University of Denver student body. All first-time college students are required to take a series of exams before registering for their first-semester classes if their ACT or SAT scores are below state cutoff scores. Transfer and adult students are also required to take one or all of the exams if they do not have appropriate transfer credits. The exams measure college entry-level skills in writing and mathematics. The scores are used by advisers to help determine the selection of appropriate courses.
TRiO High School Upward Bound Mission Statement
MSU Denver’s TRIO High School Upward Bound is a federally funded college preparatory program designed to assist under-resourced and first- generation college bound high school students, by generating the skills and motivation necessary to complete high school and to enter and succeed in a program of postsecondary education.
