The mission of the Nutrition Department is to prepare diverse students for successful careers in food, nutrition and dietetics by providing quality education that is culturally sensitive and instills a desire for life-long learning.
A $3.25 million Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students (SDS) grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that provides financial, academic, and social support for undergraduate students with low-income and/or first generation status.
HRSA Scholarship for Undergraduate Students
A $2 million Post-baccalaureate Opportunities for Hispanic Americans (POHA) grant from the U.S. Department of Education that focuses on encouraging students from diverse backgrounds and those with interest in serving diverse populations, to pursue post-baccalaureate study here at MSU Denver.
