April 13, 2016
Many of you will celebrate MSU Denver’s 50 years of service and community engagement by volunteering at local organizations on Roadrunners Give Back Day, Friday, April 22. To help gear up for this special day of service, MSU Denver will host a kick-off rally on Thursday, April 21, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on the Student Success Building lawn.
Join your colleagues for free pizza, cupcakes and music, and pick up your volunteer packet and t-shirt. MSU Denver will also collect donations for the Give Denver Hygiene Drive in support of the homeless. So, be sure to bring unused hygiene items like deodorant, tissues, toilet paper, razors and toothpaste.
If you can’t participate in Roadrunners Give Back Day, you can volunteer as part of the 25/50 Spirit of MLK Service Drive, a yearlong campaign to celebrate community engagement, developed in honor of the 25th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace Breakfast and MSU Denver’s 50th anniversary. For more information, visit the 25/50 Spirit of MLK Service Drive website.
