This week, we recognize Associate Professor Amy Eckert and Assistant Director for Advising and Student Success Fabiola Mora.

Associate Professor of Political Science Amy Eckert was named section chair for the International Ethics section of the International Studies Association recently. With over 6,000 members worldwide, ISA has been the leading organization for connecting scholars and practitioners in fields of international studies since 1959. In separate news, Eckert was interviewed on Scholar’s Circle Radio recently about her new book, “Outsourcing War: The Just War Tradition in the Age of Military Privatization,” now available from Cornell University Press.

Assistant Director for Advising and Student Success Fabiola Mora was selected by the National Academic Advising Association to be one of 10 Emerging Leaders from 2016-18. NACADA’s professional advisor, counselor, faculty, administrator and student members work to enhance the educational development of students. Its Diversity Committee developed the Emerging Leaders Program in 2007 to connect leaders from diverse groups to areas of interest within the association, and to develop a plan for continued involvement and growth.
