Music Department Scholarships

Our generous donors provide many different scholarships to music students.  Each of the music scholarships has unique criteria for eligibility.  Applications are available online every spring and must be submitted by the given deadline.

For each of the scholarships, applicants must submit an essay addressing the applicant's background and qualifications for receiving the scholarship, a description of the applicant's career plans, and a statement specifically addressing the eligibility criteria for that particular scholarship. Recipients of the scholarships are determined by a scholarship committee made up of Music Department faculty and in some cases, the donor.

If awarded, the scholarship is applied to the fall and spring semester of the academic year following the spring semester in which the student applied. Eligibility requirements for each scholarship must be met at the time of application and at the time of disbursement.

Below are the specific criteria for each of the music scholarships. Please note, not every scholarship is available every year; the application will list the available scholarships for any given year.
