Criminal Justice is composed of three elements: law enforcement, corrections, and the courts. Criminology refers to the individual and macro factors that contribute to crime, enabling them to make expert, evidence-based recommendations to policymakers.

The policymakers in the criminal justice system can then address the issue of crime more effectively and successfully in their respective communities.
