Longtime MSU Denver employee and 2006 retiree Shirley K. Steinshouer passed away on June25, 2013, after a short illness.
Steinshouer came to the University in 1980 as a program assistant to the dean of the then School of Engineering Technology. She eventually became program assistant for the Electrical Engineering Technology Department (EET), now a program housed under the Department of Engineering Technology.
“Mrs. Steinshouer was a networking resource,” says retired EET Professor Keith Ball. “She could get answers to faculty and student questions almost instantly from any college area.” Ball adds that she was affectionately known as the department grandmother for the way she mentored and comforted the EET students.
