Representation

LFSA is a group for Latina/o/x faculty and staff at MSU Denver that works to create a sense of inclusion and belonging. It is our goal to provide equal representation and uplift our faculty and staff of Latin descent.

A Place To Be Heard

We believe in giving a voice to those who can make real change happen. Join our member community and take part in advocacy efforts.

Truly Connecting

The LFSA is the one of the few organizations that promotes the interests of the Latin community at MSU Denver. With mentorship and professional development opportunities for faculty/staff, it is our goal to maintain and increase the number of Latino/a faculty, students, and staff in MSU Denver’s senior management.

Joanely Alvidrez-Ramos

Joanely Avidrez-Ramos

LFSA Secretary

Born and semi-raised in Chihuahua, Mexico, when she was only five years old, Joanely and her family moved to the United States and since she's lived in Colorado ever since.  Going from a small community in Chihuahua to a very rural farm community in Colorado, that was change was drastic. She is lucky to have built a community with friends and loved ones, just as close as the one back in my hometown, allowing her to confidently say that Colorado is her home! Earning her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from MSU Denver and currently working towards her Masters in Information Systems from the University of Colorado Denver; something that hasn’t and will never change is the fact that, wherever she goes, she will continue to represent her culture with a lot of pride and love.
