Modern Egypt

Facilitated by Shaun Shafer

Egypt. The name draws up images of pharaohs, pyramids and mummies. The modern nation remains a tourist favorite for its antiquities, but surrounding those 5,000 years of ancient civilization is the  vibrant culture of modern Egypt. Together, we will tour this modern world and life in a nation still finding its way in the post-Arab Spring and seeking to shake off the effects of modern dictators and long-time colonial masters.
