What is a faculty-led program?

A faculty-led program is one of two of our flagship study abroad program options, and is a popular way for MSU Denver students to study abroad. To see all of our current faculty-led programs, we use a third-party platform called ViaTRM to house all relevant details.

What classifies as a faculty-led program?

For a program to be classified as faculty-led, it must meet the following criteria:

  • Led by experienced MSU Denver faculty
  • 10 days to 6 weeks long
  • Occurs in school break periods
  • Students earn credit that falls directly into MSU Denver course curriculum

Faculty-Led Requirements for Students

To participate in faculty-led program, students must adhere to these requirements:

  • Students are required to have at least a 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Students will complete initial MSU Denver application
  • Students will complete all pre-departure forms [after approval]
  • Students will meet specific course requirements
  • Students will complete financial obligations within the timeframes they are required to meet
