Bio:

Dr. Christine Odell has been a certified Athletic Trainer since 1992.

She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder and earned her Master of Arts Degree in Education/Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver.

She then worked in a variety of athletic training settings throughout the course of her career: traditional Division II college, physician extender, out patient rehabilitation clinic and has also worked several professional cycling races here in the United States as well as one Tour of China.

When she discovered her passion for teaching, she earned her doctorate at Colorado State University in Education/Interdisciplinary Studies – Health/Exercise Science.

She has taught at Metropolitan State University of Denver since 2004 and has served as the Director of Athletic Training Program since 2008.  Her teaching philosophy revolves around teaching students how to incorporate the bigger picture into patient care – trying never to let her students forget that they are working with people who have many needs beyond just returning to an active lifestyle.
