The goals of MSU Denver Health Care Executives, as expanded by the mission statement, are listed as the following:
- Expanding Knowledge: MSU Denver Health Care Executives conducts seminars and arranges guest speeches, equipping student with the additional knowledge needed in becoming successful health care executives.
- Gaining Experience: MSU Denver Health Care Executives utilizes professional associations such as the American Academy of Medical Administrators (AAMA), the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), and the American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE) in attending conferences and seminars where students interact with health care executives and CEOs nationwide. Through the use of these professional associations, students are provided with additional educational networking opportunities, as well as able to see firsthand the dedication involved in becoming a successful health care executive.
- Raising Community Health Awareness: MSU Denver Health Care Executives participates in several on and off-campus community service projects regarding health issues. These activities give students the ability to truly understand what the community members need. Student assist in health fairs, blood drives, food drives, soup kitchens, shelters, and other community related activities. Through these experiences, MSU Denver Health Care Executives members are able to raise important health issues to legislators and other officials. As future health care executives, students will become advocates for these health issues through their community service experiences, and using their leadership, can make a difference in many lives within the community.
