   About Me

I am originally from small-town Montana and gradually moved eastwards for my education.  I knew I needed to return to the Rocky Mountain area and came to Denver with my family in 2009.  I have 2 beautiful little girls who keep me on my toes.  My wife and I enjoy hiking and trying new restaurants.  I love spicy food and make my own hot sauces.  I enjoy soccer, racquetball, the wide world of Netflix, and I like to read about neurology, linguistics, and science fiction in my limited spare time.

Why I enjoy working in College Health College is an amazing—and stressful!—time in a person’s life, and it’s often the time when mental health conditions start showing up for the first time.  Being dual-boarded I am in a unique position to recognize these conditions and offer assistance to a student from both a medical and psychiatric standpoint.  Plus, there is great energy on a college campus, and it's fun to get to meet students from around the country and around the world!

About Me

While pursuing my undergraduate degree at CU Denver, I worked as a student employee for nearly five years at the Health Center at Auraria before I joined the team again in 2006 as a Physician Assistant.  I previously worked in Electrophysiology, a subspecialty of Cardiology, as a PA for almost two years.  Some of my interests are preventive health, women’s health, performing minor procedures, and management of acute and chronic medical illnesses.

I have lived in Colorado since 1990 and am happy to call Colorado home!  I enjoy being outdoors from hiking our majestic mountains to escaping to quiet beaches.  I love exploring new places and look forward to many more adventures.

Why I enjoy working in College Health

I am a huge proponent of preventive health and patient education.  In this setting, I take this opportunity to educate and teach each person about their own health and wellness.
