Bio:

Mr. Hernandez brings over 29 years of experience ranging from non-profit association membership recruitment and fundraising to higher education advancement. He has experience securing transformational, principal, and major gifts as well as leading two comprehensive campaigns. In 1995, Hernandez began a 22-plus-year career, specifically in higher education advancement. He has worked for Oakland University, the University of Michigan-Flint, Lawrence Technological University, Sierra Nevada College, and Notre Dame de Namur University.

Mr. Hernandez has served with many award-winning teams and comprehensive campaigns, including the University of Michigan's $1 Billion Campaign for Michigan, which concluded at $1.2B. He successfully directed the $20M Campaign for Lawrence Tech: A Commitment to Our Students, which concluded at $46.6M on June 30, 2006, and the Proud Heritage-Bold Future Campaign, which launched July 1, 2006 with a goal of $75M and stood over $110M toward a stretch goal of a $100M. In addition, Mr. Hernandez and his team at NDNU met and exceeded a daunting $6M Taube Challenge in record time and in under 12 months. At NDNU, he and his former team raised over $25M to complete the Campaign to Save Ralston Hall and set new records in both alumni participation and fundraising.

His teams at OU, U of M, LTU, and NDNU have received some of the highest awards for excellence. A frequent presenter to both CASE and AFP, he has contributed to the profession on fundraising topics both locally, nationally, and internationally.

Bio:

Steve Galpern is Senior Director of Development at MSU Denver. He joined the University fund raising team in late 2012 after previously having worked in development at Mile High United Way. He has a 20-plus-year track record working with nonprofit, public sector, and for-profit businesses in the Denver metro area in a variety of capacities. At MSU Denver, he is primarily responsible for raising money for the Department of Hospitality, Tourism and Events’ plan to become a school in the College of Professional Studies, and serves as the primary development liaison for the One World One Water Center for Urban Water Education and Stewardship. Steve played an important role in developing the Rita and Navin Dimond Fellowship program, funded by a major gift from the Dimond Family. He was also instrumental in helping the Tivoli Brewing Company return to its ancestral home on the Auraria Campus as part of creating two beer industry operations bachelor’s degrees.

Bio:

Ran is a Colorado native who has spent time in Massachusetts, Idaho, Washington state, and California working in higher education development. He earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Colorado Boulder. His hobbies include road cycling, swimming, reading, and spoiling his golden retriever. He is the development director for the College of Business.

Bio:

John Oseth is originally from Nebraska and started with MSU Denver as the Development Research Analyst in March 2016. Previously, he worked with the University of Dallas in Irving, TX, supporting their gift processing and prospect research efforts. He earned his M.B.A. in Global Management from Arizona State University, and his B.A. in Sociology from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. As the Development Research Analyst, he manages University Advancement’s prospect research and prospect management areas.

Bio:

Michael Schiffmacher started with MSU Denver in January 2002. He has held a handful of positions in various offices at MSU Denver, including Bursar’s Office Supervisor (2002-2007), Accounting Svs COFRS and Fixed Asset Accountant (2007-2010), and Foundation Accountant (2010-2016). Michael is an MSU Denver alumnus, earning his B.S. in Management with a concentration in Finance. In his current role as the Foundation’s Business Analyst, Michael manages many of the Foundation’s business functions including the development of financial forecasts, account management, budgeting and other financial analysis. Michael is also responsible for process development and improvement projects, analysis of opportunities, and for providing general guidance and educational opportunities for both internal and external constituencies.

Michael and his wife Lindsay reside in Lakewood, CO and have a 3-year-old son. Michael is an avid outdoorsman and particularly enjoys skiing and mountain climbing. He has climbed all 58 Colorado 14ers and countless other state and country highpoints.

Anthony Sisneros was born and raised in Westminster, Colorado and started as a student employee with MSU Denver in August 2006. He graduated from MSU Denver with a B.A. in Political Science and is currently working on a second bachelor’s degree in accounting. He enjoys watching football and traveling and is an avid outdoorsman, spending time both hunting and fishing. As the Foundation Accountant, he serves as the initial source of financial information for the Foundation and is responsible for department financial statements, sales tax remittance and annual tax forms, and cash disbursements.

Bio:

Fallon has been with MSU Denver since January 2014, and she has over ten years of professional experience in higher education. In her current role, Fallon provides executive support to the MSU Denver Foundation Board of Directors and the Executive Director of the Foundation/Vice President of University Advancement. Fallon serves as liaison for Board members’ interactions and communications with employees of the University, and she acts as the primary contact for the VP and the Division and their affairs, including interfacing with community leaders and their staff. She graduated from Red Rocks Community College, is a certified holistic health practitioner, and attends classes at MSU Denver where she is working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Andrea Gonzales is a Denver native with deep Colorado roots. She started with MSU Denver in September 2008 after previously working for a private asset management company which bought, sold, and collected credit card debt. An alumna of the Community College of Denver, she is currently pursuing her degree in Computer Information Systems at MSU Denver. In her spare time, she loves being with and supporting her family, cooking, watching MMA and boxing, and traveling. As the Manager of Information Services, she oversees the team responsible for sustainability and services which includes gifts and data entry, extraction, reporting, and data integrity. She’s responsible for database access, security and training while supporting donor privacy, PCI compliance, and new process implementation requiring database integration.

Bio:

Originally from Nebraska, Jacintha moved to Colorado to enjoy beautiful landscapes and earn her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver. As a former artist with the Hotshops Art Center and a former Fashion Merchandising adjunct instructor at Iowa Western Community College, she spent 12 of her 18 years of non-profit experience at museums promoting education programs and tourism opportunities. Jacintha is fond of volunteering her time fostering kittens, reading, writing mysteries, creating textile arts and watching movies. As the Gift Processing Specialist, she processes donations, registrations, tax receipts, financial reports and a variety of other duties to support University Advancement fundraising.

Bio:

Traci McBee Rowe joined MSU Denver in February 2017 following a five-year career as the Assistant Director of Major Gifts and Major Gifts Officer at Regis University, and a seven-year career as the Associate Director of Alumni Networks and Coordinator of Alumni Networks with the Colorado State University Alumni Association. Her current role melds together her many years of volunteer and event management with fundraising and relationship development. A native of Colorado, Traci earned a BS in Business Administration from CSU and a Master of Nonprofit Management degree at Regis. As a first-generation college graduate, Traci combines her passion for access to education with a focus on demonstrating impact when communicating with donors. She and her husband Mike spend a lot of time tailgating for CSU football and Rapids soccer, traveling as often as possible, or being attacked by their dog Glarus and cat Buffy while doing yoga.

Bio:

Jamie Hurst is originally from California and started with MSU Denver in December 2013. Previously, she worked at Upper Iowa University as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations after working in college athletics for nearly a decade at Upper Iowa, Iowa State University and Indiana State University. Jamie earned her J.D. from Hamline University School of Law, M.A. in Sport Management from Indiana State University and B.A. in Religious Studies/Human Development from the University of California, San Diego where she was an NCAA Division II softball student-athlete. As the Director of Alumni Relations and Giving, Jamie provides leadership, vision and direction to the Alumni Relations and Annual Giving teams while also serving as the Executive Director of the Alumni Association. In her spare time, she is an avid Roadrunner Softball fan, loves all things baseball, enjoys playing guitar and woodworking. She and her wife live in Westminster and enjoy the Colorado outdoors with their two dogs, Rowdy and Copper.

Bre Milnes has been working in Alumni Relations at MSU Denver since April 2015. She began working in higher education in 2009 at Kirkwood Community College in Iowa as a marketing coordinator and assistant softball coach. She earned her M.S.Ed. in Sport Performance and Leadership and B.S. in Sport Marketing and Administration from Northern State University. As the Associate Director of Annual Giving, Bre primarily focuses on call center operations and marketing efforts for the Alumni Relations office.
