How to Accept Graduate Federal Direct Loans

The Office of Financial Aid will now make available the ability to view and accept Federal Direct Loans online via Student Hub. Students may accept the full amount, a reduced amount, or decline loans through Student Hub.

To accept your Federal Direct Loans, you must have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file for the 2016-2017 academic year. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is also required for need-based aid and scholarships and may be completed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

For the 2016-2017 aid year students are required to submit their initial loan acceptance via Student Hub. You will have the option to accept the entire amount that is "Offered" or you may select to accept a partial amount. Students who accept a partial amount will have the opportunity to request the additional funds that they are eligible to receive.

If you want to accept your Federal Direct Loans using Student Hub:

If you want to accept additional funds beyond your initial award acceptance:

Additional loan acceptance via online application is temporarily unavailable beginning December 3, 2016.  If you would like to request additional loans, you must meet with a Financial Aid counselor by 4:30 PM December 16, 2016 to submit a LNEVL form.

Submitting a LNEVL via fax, mail or email is not recommended as it does not guarantee that we will receive the form before the deadline.

If you are trying to accept additional loans for the SPRING 2017 semester, the online application will be available after FALL grades have posted.
