About Us 

‌The Office of Faculty Affairs coordinates a variety of functions associated with faculty life and academic programming on the MSU Denver campus. This office is a branch of the Office of Academic Affairs and supports the University's mission and vision, and is dedicated to excellence in teaching, scholarly activities, and service. The office is administered by the Provost/Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs.

 

‌Functions of Faculty Affairs

Major office functions include: approving department evaluation guidelines; reviewing recommendations for emeritus status, leaves, sabbaticals, transitional retirement, retention, reappointment, tenure, promotion, and post-tenure review; implementing policies pertaining to reassigned time; and processing faculty personnel actions requiring approval by the University's Board of Trustees and President.
