The Director of the Project
The Director of the Exploring Economic Freedom Project is Dr. Alexandre Padilla (website: www.alexandrepadilla.com). Dr. Alexandre Padilla is an Associate Professor of Economics. He earned his B.S., M.A., and Doctorate in Economics from the University Paul Cézanne Aix-Marseille III in France. Dr. Alexandre Padilla joined the Economics faculty in 2002 first as a visiting instructor and then as tenure-track faculty in 2004. Dr. Padilla was awarded tenure and promotion in Spring 2010.
Dr. Padilla has published several academic on insider trading in the Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics, Commentaries in Law & Economics, Florida State Business Review, Journal of Law, Economics, and Policy, other non-academic essays. His current research looks at the effects of immigration on institutions. His most recent article published in Public Choice examines the impact of immigration in the United States on the economic institutions that contributed to US economic growth and prosperity.
