Faculty members at Metropolitan State University of Denver have the unique opportunity to step beyond the classroom and into a realm of senior leadership through the 2025 Presidential Faculty Fellow Program. Established by the Office of the President in 2020, this professional-development initiative offers faculty members a chance to dive into presidential-level operations while refining vital leadership, communication and strategic skills.

Applications for the 2025 Presidential Faculty Fellowship are due Sept. 12. Interviews will take place Sept. 17-27, with a decision in October. All full-time faculty members are eligible and are encouraged to apply.

What to expect

The selected Faculty Fellow will work in the Office of the President for the duration of 2025 and will report back to their home department to share the experience, knowledge and insights they have gained. Fellows will focus on special projects and events and will help support shared governance by bridging the communication gap and nurturing a deeper understanding between faculty members and senior leadership. By actively engaging with the senior-leadership team, Faculty Fellows also gain insight into the complexities of University administration.
