The Classroom to Career Hub has developed resource-packed sample syllabus language to help Metropolitan State University of Denver instructors connect their students to a wide variety of academicsuccess and careerreadiness support services.

The Classroom to Career Hub is more than just a career center; we’re the go-to resource for all things related to students’ professional and career development,” said Alyssa Marks, director for Faculty Engagement and Experiential Learning. “Preparation for future careers takes time and planning, and the C2 Hub is here to be a resource for faculty, staff and students alike.”

The easiest way for instructors to integrate C2 Hub information into their courses is via syllabi.

Starting in January, the Canvas sandbox will include a link to Career Support for students, taking them directly to the C2 Hub. In the meantime, if instructors have a syllabus document built in or outside of Canvas, they are encouraged to include the provided C2 Hub language.

Other ways instructors can amplify the C2 Hub mission

Engaging with C2 Hub services and referring students to resources, events and programs are the easiest and most effective ways for all employees to support the C2 Hub mission. Offices and departments can also use the Career Link platform to help students search for potential opportunities and RSVP to C2 Hub events.

“Championing the importance of getting involved in career readiness and career planning early is a great way to support the mission of the C2 Hub and student readiness for postgraduation success,” Marks said.

Faculty members can also attend events, request “Don’t Cancel That Class” support, explore C2 Hub Faculty Fellowship opportunities and check out the C2 Hub for Faculty webpage.
