You’ve made it! The finish line to your final semester is near, and Commencement is in sight. You can find important info about the ceremonies below and additional information on the Commencement website.

 

Upcoming Deadlines

  • Primary regalia ordering deadline: Thursday, October 10 at 9:59 p.m. MT
  • Secondary regalia ordering deadline (rush home ship only): Monday, November 4 at 9:59 p.m. MT
  • Marching Order RSVP and final changes to GradPass deadline: Wednesday, November 20 at 11:59 p.m. MT

 

Order Your Regalia

Regalia is the cap and gown you are required to wear during the ceremony. You must order your regalia through Herff Jones.

Primary regalia ordering deadline: Thursday, October 10 at 9:59 p.m. MT

Secondary regalia ordering deadline (rush home-ship only): Monday, November 4 at 9:59 p.m. MT

Save the Date – Cap & Gown Pick-Up at St. Cajetan’s

Tuesday, November 19 | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Wednesday, November 20 | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

If you miss either of the ordering deadlines, regalia will also be available for purchase at Cap & Gown Pick-Up or you can purchase regalia the day of the ceremony. We encourage all graduates to order regalia in advance.

 

RSVP Required for Your Ceremony by November 20

Following this email, you should receive an email from [email protected]. The email will prompt you to RSVP for your ceremony. The RSVP deadline for the in-person ceremony is November 20 at 11:59 p.m. MT. If you are not attending the ceremony, please still RSVP “no.”

GradPass Required: Once you have RSVP’d, you will receive your digital name card, called GradPass. You will need to have your GradPass on your phone or printed out on the day of the ceremony in order to have your name read as you walk across the stage. If anything needs to be changed on your GradPass, including your name, changes must be submitted before November 20.

For Graduation: Your RSVP to the commencement event is only for ceremony participation. Your application to graduate and official degree conferral is handled separately through the Graduation team in the Registrar’s Office. You will receive separate communications regarding your degree status from the Graduation team.

Both ceremonies will be hosted at the Colorado Convention Center (700 14th St, Denver, CO 80202).

Morning Ceremony | 9:30 a.m.

Afternoon Ceremony | 2:30 p.m. 

College of Letters, Arts and Sciences

School of Education

School of Hospitality

Each ceremony will last approximately two hours. Graduates should arrive 90 minutes prior to the start of their ceremony:  

  • Morning ceremony: arrive by 8 a.m.
  • Afternoon ceremony: arrive by 1 p.m.

The ceremony will be livestreamed to the Commencement homepage for guests who are unable to attend in person. Family and friends are not required to register in advance, and they are not required to have tickets. There is no limit on the amount of guests each graduate can bring. The ceremony will consist of performances, speeches, and most importantly, your moment to walk across the stage.
