2019 Pricing

Standard Rate:

  • $2,250 (4 hours max. Includes set up time)
  • $500 refundable deposit + security fee based on number of attendees
  • $250 hourly rate for events exceeding 4 hours

Non Profit Rate:

  • $1,500 (4 hours max. Includes set up time)
  • $250 refundable deposit + security fee based on number of attendees
  • $100 hourly rate for events exceeding 4 hours

Classroom Only Rate (rental limited to classroom only, cannot conduct activities on gallery floor):

  • $50 per hour during normal CVA business hours
  • $75 per hour after hours

 


 

 

FAQs:

How do I secure a date? Please reach out to us with your inquiry at cva@msudenver.edu. If your date is available, a signed rental contract and your deposit is required to secure your date.

  

How long can my event be? Rental rates are quoted for 4 hour events. If your event exceeds 4 hours, you will be charged an hourly rate for each additional hour.

 

Do CVA staff help set up and break down tables and chairs?  Yes, this is included in your rental fee. Please note that your 4 hour rental includes set up time so please plan accordingly.

 

Does CVA provide event security? CVA requires security at all private events. A required security fee is assessed based off of the number of guests you have attending.

 

Can I rent or bring in my own outside tables, chairs, linens? Yes, we are able to provide a limited selection of tables, chairs and linens. If you would like to bring or rent your own, please note that we cannot store items before or after your event. It is you or your vendor’s responsibility to ensure all items are removed at the conclusion of your event,

 

I would like to host a private event during gallery hours – is that allowed? It is our mission is to provide free public access to our exhibitions during our normal posted business hours. We are unable to host private events from 11-6 pm on Tuesdays-Fridays and from 12-5pm on Saturdays.

 

Does CVA have a preferred vendor list? No, you may work with any vendor you like. However, it is you and your vendor’s responsibility to follow all policies outlined in your rental agreement.

 

May I serve alcohol at my event? Yes, although we require that you or your caterer arrange to have a TIPS certified bartender serve your guests.

 

I would like to deliver food/decor/rental items before the event, can CVA store my things? No, we do not have the capacity to store your items before or after your event.

 

May I remove artwork for my event? No, we do not remove any artwork for any event.

 

Are candles allowed? No, candles are not allowed as they may damage the artwork.

 

Are outside decorations allowed? Some outside decorations, such as flowers or tablescaping items may be allowed. Please be advised that we are unable to hang any decorations from our walls or ceiling. Please let us know what you have in mind for your specific event.

 

Is live music allowed? Musicians and DJs are welcome as space allows. Please let us know what you have in mind for your specific event.

 

Is smoking allowed? No smoking or vaping is permitted inside the gallery. Guests are welcome to smoke outside the gallery in our parking lot.
