Internship in Criminal Justice & Criminology or Cybersecurity
Credits: 1-6
Prerequisites: Major in Criminal Justice and Criminology or Cybersecurity; junior or senior status; permission of instructor.
Description: Supervised by a faculty member within the major department, internships provide practical, hands-on experience in a professional field related to the major. Internship placements must be established prior to enrollment in this course in consultation with the Classroom to Career Hub (C2Hub).
To secure an internship for academic credit, you must visit the Classroom to Career Hub (C2Hub) to research internship opportunities, review the application process, and submit an application. You are encouraged to visit the websites of an agency, employer, or organization of interest to inquire about internship opportunities. Additionally, our professors are a great resource!

Career Link is an online system hosted by MSU Denver Classroom to Career Hub (C2Hub) where students can search internship opportunities, employment opportunities, and manage their career planning. To apply for an internship through the C2Hub, click on the Career Link below.
Prepare and upload requested materials.
Important Note: Each college credit requires 45 contact hours at your internship site. For example, if you want to receive academic credit for 3 credit hours, you must complete 135 hours. The contact hours detailed in your application must occur during the semester you are registered for CJC 3980 or CYB 3980.
Once your application is submitted, you will receive an email titled: Internship Application Received detailing your next steps. Your application will go through the approval process listed below:

Once your application is approved, the C2Hub will email the Department of CJC a copy of your application and cc you on the email. The Department of CJC staff will lift the registration hold and email you instructions to enroll in CJC 3980 or CYB 3980. Please do not contact the Department of CJC regarding this step until you have received this email. We appreciate your patience.
