Chicana/o Studies Programs

The Department offers a major and a minor in Chicana/o Studies.

Our majors, depending on their educational and professional goals, can choose from three different concentrations. The Cultural Studies or Social Practice concentrations are designed to enhance students’ opportunities to compete in national and international labor markets and can prepare students for entrance into graduate programs. Students who are interested in teaching can choose the Secondary Social Studies Teacher Licensure concentration.

Students who want to round out any major, can choose the Chicana/o Studies minor.
