Water is Colorado’s most precious natural resource, and Colorado’s children represent our future water stewards. On May 21, 2014 One World One Water, Denver Water and its distributors will host their first Children’s Water Festival for approximately 1,500 sixth-graders, their teachers and families to help them learn more about water sources, drought, conservation, weather and climate, stewardship, and careers. This day-long celebration of water in our arid West will include hands-on classroom activities, water knowledge contests, theater and art, music, and much more by engaging water experts from across the region to provide students with the tools they need to bring wise water use to their schools and homes and to help them develop an appreciation of the value of water.
