Adaptive Fitness

Adaptive Fitness Programs at Campus Recreation provide one-on-one personal training for students, faculty and staff with disabilities. Individual programs are designed and implemented to provide safe, fun and effective workouts. Training sessions are 60 minutes long and are conducted either in the Fitness Center or The Fitness Loft. New participants must complete an enrollment packet prior to participation. The number of participants is limited and is dependent upon the availability of Campus Recreation student personal trainers.

"Gabby began her Yoga journey as a college student in 2006. She received her 200-hour certification from Kindness Yoga in 2015 and encourages people to explore something new on their mat each class, whether it's attempting a pose they haven't before or finding a new sensation in their bodies. Gabby's nurturing energy will guide practitioners through any challenges they face while confronting the unfamiliar during a deep strengthening or stretching practice."

Class Description:  "Inclusive yoga is a well-balanced class incorporating flexibility, strength, breathing, and meditation. Modifications are suggested so that participants can adapt poses to what they want to get out of yoga, whether they wish to stretch, increase body-awareness, work hard, or just breathe!"
