Who We Are
Strategy, Marketing and Communications helps MSU Denver tell its success story.
As part of the University’s Strategy Branch, we promote awareness and appreciation of MSU Denver and foster a sense of pride and community among all of the University’s internal and external constituencies.
Strategy, Marketing and Communications reports to and works closely with the President’s Office as well as University Advancement, the Provost’s Office and schools and colleges to position MSU Denver as the preeminent public urban university in the nation.
What We Do
University departments are supported by Strategy, Marketing and Communications in the following ways:
- We can help you produce communication materials, with priority for projects that have large audiences and are central to the University’s strategy. You can use photos from our library and download logos. We can connect you with one of our preferred freelance vendors for projects we cannot manage in-house.
- We can help you share your story internally and externally. We produce the Early Bird daily e-newsletter for staff and faculty, The ‘Runner weekly e-newsletter for students, the Roadrunner Rundown video for internal and external audiences, and RED, our online newsroom featuring stories of importance and interest to Denver and beyond. Please coordinate with us when working with the media.
- We design and maintain key entry points to the University website, including department home pages. We help schools, colleges and departments design their sites beyond the home pages so that they meet the particular needs of their audiences. We provide consultation, templates and training to ensure branded, attractive sites.
- We can consult with you on your marketing and advertising plans. We can advise you on strategy and offer you design ideas. All advertising in mass media must be approved by our department before University funds will be released.
