Branded Merchandise Guidelines and Purpose

Branded merchandise and apparel can reflect pride in the University and serve a function as well as promote the brand to an outside audience; therefore, it is important to be mindful when designing and distributing these items. The Office of University Communications and Marketing (UCM) is here to help guide the design of branded merchandise to make sure these items meet your needs and follow Metropolitan State University of Denver’s brand-identity guidelines.

All branded merchandise using the MSU Denver name, logos and mascot image must be approved by UCM to maintain the integrity of our brand and trademarks.
All branded merchandise intended for resale must go through the University licensing system.
Branded promotional items must be purchased from a preferred vendor (apparel, signage, banners, table drapes, awards and plaques are excepted from this requirement).

Branded Merchandise Vendors

Branded items such as pens, mugs, bags, flash drives, etc., must be purchased from either the Tivoli Station or the other preferred vendors with University purchasing agreements in place.

On-campus vendor:

The Tivoli Station, also known as the campus bookstore, is the official merchandiser for MSU Denver apparel and merchandise. The bookstore works directly with University Communications and Marketing on the review-and-approval process for the products offered.

Transition of the operations vendor for the Tivoli Station bookstore is changing this fall from Barnes & Noble College to Follett Higher Education on October 2, 2023. Follett already partners with over 1000 colleges across North America.

The bookstore will continue to be called Tivoli Station and will retain the current hours of operation Monday–Thursday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
