2022 Conference

Thanks to everyone that attended our seventh annual Women in STEM Conference this year! For anyone that was unable to attend or would simply like to learn more about what we covered, please see the information below. More information will be forthcoming in the spring on the homepage regarding next year’s conference.

Schedule

  • 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Check-in and breakfast
  • 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Keynote Speaker: Tina Sandoval-Schock
    • Tina, an MSU Denver alumna (Industrial and Product Design B.S., Mechanical Engineering Technology Minor), is a Mechanical Designer at BDC Labs. She will speak about how engagement beyond the classroom helped her in her career path.
  • 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Campus Engagement Panel
    • Hear from MSU Denver STEM community members about how campus involvement helped translate to real world experience and a career.
  • 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Digital Skills
    • Hear from Industry Partners about certifications, credentials, and digital skills you can acquire before graduation to make yourself even more employable.
  • 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch/STEM Majors Fair
    • Learn about the different STEM majors offered at MSU Denver!  This is a great chance to connect with and ask questions to STEM faculty and staff.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Resume Workshop
    • A Brooksource recruiter will present tips for writing an effective resume that highlights your STEM skills. C2Hub staff and industry partners will be onsite to offer resume advice in small groups.
