Join an Ensemble at MSU Denver
The Music Department’s many ensembles are open to all students of MSU Denver, regardless of major. Whether you are exploring a new instrument, or have years of experience playing or singing, MSU Denver has an ensemble for you.
All students registered for an ensemble are granted access to the Music Department practice rooms in AR-171 and KC-206, and may use an instrument locker in the Arts Building.
Some ensembles require an audition; to audition, please contact the ensemble director.

Music majors or minors must participate in the requisite ensemble for their performance area during each semester of private instruction. Students may register for any additional ensemble in which they are interested.
Requisite Ensembles
- Guitar: Guitar Ensemble,* or as assigned by area coordinator
- Jazz: Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, or as assigned by area coordinator
- Piano: Collaborative Piano, Chamber Music, or as assigned by area coordinator
- Strings: Symphony Orchestra, String Sinfonietta, or as assigned by the orchestra director
- Voice: Chorale, University Basso Choir, University Treble Choir
- Woodwind/Brass/Percussion: Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, or Symphony Orchestra (as assigned)
