Go to http://www.msudenver.edu/myfirstlogin/ and follow the instructions for looking up your initial password and enrolling in the Password Reset Program and set up your account.


Most passwords are synchronized with your WinAD account. The password can be changed on a Lab computer, through the Password Reset Program, or by contacting the Help Desk to at 303-325-7548. For more information: http://www.msudenver.edu/accounttypes/


All users are required to change their password every 120 days. We recommend changing your WinAD password at the beginning of every semester. To change your password please see below on "How do I reset my WinAD password?"


Visit https://msudenver.edu/passwordreset and make use of the Password Reset Program (MSU Denver's Self Service Reset Manager tool) to reset your WinAD password, provided you have previously enrolled your account. You may also reset your password in any MSU Denver Computer Lab, visit the IT Help Desk Locations, or contact the Help Desk at 303-352-7548.

Logging into a Lab Requires a WinAD account. If you are registered for classes during the current semester and do not have a WinAD password, please contact the Help Desk (303-352-7548 or go to West Classroom 241) to request one.


From the MSU Denver Homepage, click on ConnectU in the upper right-hand corner.
*New users should click on the "New user / PIN Lookup" link to obtain their first-time password.

Enter your username (your email address without the @msudenver) in the User Name field.

Enter your WinAD password

Click the Login button.




Your Blackboard courses will not appear on your Blackboard My Institution page until they become available. If they do not become visible on the first day of classes, check with your instructor to confirm that you are on the roster and contact Blackboard Support at 1-888-915-9535 or visit http://supportcenter.embanet.com/msudenver


Blackboard classes are only available during the semester that you are enrolled. Access is not available before the first day of class or after the final day of class. If you receive this message during the current semester, check with your instructor that you are on the roster, then contact the Blackboard Learn Help Desk at 1-888-915-9535 or online at: https://supportcenter.embanet.com/msudenver


Courses are no longer accessed through ConnectU MyCourses. Blackboard Learn is MSU Denver's newest learning management system and has replaced Blackboard Vista and ConnectU MyCourses.


Contact the Help Desk at 303-352-7548 and we can reset your Rowdy password.


Log into ConnectU.

Click on the "Student Email" (Gmail) icon in the upper right-hand corner. 

A new window will pop up and open student email.
*Make sure to log out of any other personal Gmail sessions.


Thanks to a new tool called Google Apps Password Sync, or GAPS, MSU Denver can now sync your WinAD password with your Google Apps password. This process requires you to reset your password if you haven't done so since January 1, 2013. Use your WinAD username and password to log into http://gmail.msudenver.edu.


Google Apps "remembers" your account information, so if you logged in to another Google account and forgot to log off, Google is trying to access the other account. Visit Google's Homepage and log out of all accounts. Then, you should be able to log in correctly to http://gmail.msudenver.edu and access your Google Apps provided by MSU Denver. You might also try clearing your Cache on your web browser. The method to do this can be found on the web.


Navigate to https://www.msudenver.edu/studentemail/ and follow the instructions on enabling IMAP. Then, in that menu, click on the selection that applies to you for configuration instructions on connecting your student email to your personal device.


If you are a new student to MSU Denver, visit the Academic Advising Office at SSB 170 or call 303-556-3680. For returning students, please contact the Office of the Registrar at SSB 160 or call 303-556-3991.


Bring your student ID to West Classroom 241 or to the Ask Us Desk at the Auraria Library. Laptops from West Classroom 241 may be checked out for the day and the library checkouts may be used while in the library only.


Support for personal computers is limited to the service and systems provided by ITS. However, technicians can give guidance and recommend alternative support for personally owned computers.
