The minor in speech, language, hearing sciences (SLHS) at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) provides students with challenging, informative curricula.
Grounded in liberal arts tradition, the Department of Communication Arts and Sciences offers the following unique opportunities:
• Learn in small classes from faculty who have logged numerous hours working with adults and children with communication disorders.
• Benefit from one-on-one mentoring and advising that facilitate collaboration, scholastic success and career planning and guidance.
Students seeking a minor in SLHS complete a minimum of 21 semester hours in approved courses. Other graduation requirements apply.

Elective courses are chosen in consultation with an SLHS advisor and may include course work in sign language, speech disorders, language disorders and audiology.
The minor program in SLHS at MSU Denver is part of the university’s overall accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
