About University Advancement
The mission of University Advancement is to inspire impactful and innovative investments needed to support the mission of Metropolitan State University of Denver as it transforms lives, communities and higher education. The division is comprised of three offices: Development, MSU Denver Foundation and Alumni Relations.
The Office of Development leads MSU Denver’s efforts to secure private financial support for the University’s academic, cultural and community partnerships. Serving as liaisons between MSU Denver and its benefactors, staff members promote the University's strategic initiatives and priorities and identify individuals, corporations and foundations that can help the University achieve its goals.
The MSU Denver Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit, direct-support corporation. Created in 1965, the foundation’s mission is to promote the development and general welfare of the University by receiving, investing and administering private support. The foundation benefits from the strong leadership and direction of its Board of Directors.
The Office of Alumni Relations provides staff support for the Alumni Association and services to MSU Denver alumni. Staff members plan alumni social and networking events; design educational offerings; communicate and consult with chapter leaders; help to facilitate the creation of newsletters, calendars, invitations, surveys and other materials; and provide continual and creative ways for alumni to stay connected with MSU Denver.
