Mindset for Success: Practical Strategies for Student Persistence

MSU Denver has a profound commitment to helping students develop the kinds of mindset and patterns of thought that enable them to be resilient, successful, and life-long learners.  Growth mindset is the concept that student intelligence and academic achievement is not the result of fixed, inherent, attributes but rather is the outcome of practices that can be developed and learned. This half-day forum will be a gathering of faculty and staff to explore the following questions: What is growth mindset? How can our faculty and staff infuse the ideas of mindset into their current efforts with undergraduates? What sort of practical mindset strategies work best both inside and outside the classroom?

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

Martha E. Casazza is a partner in the educational consulting firm of TRPP Associates. TRPP is a model that Dr. Casazza and her colleague, Sharon Silverman, developed and published in 1996. It is based on the integration of Theory, Research, Principles and Practice.

Please register via the MSU Denver event calendar.
