The AI Empowerment in Higher Education workshop series equips faculty, staff, and university leaders with the skills to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education. Spanning four engaging workshops, this series progresses from AI fundamentals to practical applications using tools like ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot. Participants will explore AI’s potential to enhance teaching, research, curriculum development, operations, and administration, with a focus on ethical use and innovative integration. Designed for interactive learning, the series encourages hands-on exploration and strategic implementation of AI, fostering an MSU Denver culture ready for the future of education.

 

Learning Objectives

Understand the Foundations of Artificial Intelligence

Participants will be able to explain the basic concepts, history, and types of AI, including machine learning, deep learning, and neural networks, and understand their implications in various fields.

Recognize the Ethical Implications of AI
